Studio Services

ODD FUNK RECORDS is a label and an analogue studio run by The Blassics. Besides producing that raw and crispy Blasstin’ funk sound you love we do work with other productions as well. If you think your music lacks the rough edge that tough engineers, tape recorders and vintage studio gear can provide, please don’t hesitate to contact us. However, if you want to use autotuning, drum triggering or spend time with computers in some other way, we recommend to contact our pal Tuke, who has two 486s and a splendid score in Ski or Die.

Travelling Afro Dub:

Just the other day we were sitting at the studio, listening to some of our demos and musical experiments and some vinyls we feel good with. When listening to this piece, we felt that there was some living-in-the-moment going on in there that we'd like to share. To us it is extremely important that such moments can emerge and can be felt. It's music, ya'll.

To see means to know? live at Suisto: This way begun the first public performance of the Odd Jazz collective. We wish a creative, warm and powerful new year 2017 for everyone.

To see means to know?: A wonderfully psychedelic video on "To see means to know?" made by our main man Joona Venäläinen. Great for repeated watching!

The Dancers of Tanguelan: A mysterious and groovy opening gem from Odd Jazz vol. 1 LP. Check out Jouni Joronen on tenor sax!
